setting up new tank, don't which light to get, got pics of both

Both fixtures have individual reflectors so its basically 5 54 watt t5's or 7 54 watt t5s. I know t5's don't follow same watts per gallon like halides do and individual reflectors increase light output drastically. So would the TX5 be good enough for 75 gallon or should i get the 7 bulb constellation.

i have a tx5. I like the fixture. fairly cool and with little noise. I have a 55 though. all my coral seem to like the light but not sure if you will get good penetration on the 75. I certainly had a good experience with the company though. They are top notch. Pics on my website of my tank.

Or maybe you just like the aquactinics fixtures. What are you keeping in the tank? If not SPS then don't worry about the 7 bulb fixture, get the 5 bulb one.

I just read that the new ATI fixtures actually give out 2 times the PAR that the tek fixture gives out. ATI also has built-in cooling system.

ANd lastly, the ATI fixture currently has a wait-list. :lol:

i'm just doing softies and lps plus a couple of clams, i'm gonna wait until down the road when i can get calcium reactor, and all the other equipment plus a bigger house to do a sps tank and do it right. I actually like soft corals like see corals sway around in tank, and are a little more forgiving to small changes in water conditions.

in another forum i hang out in the other reefers recommended going with ATI bulbs in fixture(tx5).
