Setting up small frag growout section

Here is a picture of my current sump and refugium setup.

The picture is a little old. The 40 gal tank is my refugium and here is a current picture of it.

The large sump just has some live rock, a heater and a powerhead for circulation.

I am wanting to put in a small area of eggcrate to grow out some sps frags in my system. I have an extra MH light I will hang over this area.

My question is, can I do this in my refugium (better viewing) or should I place this in my sump?

Frags should be fine in that sump/refugium. Especially with good flow and proper lighting. Good Luck
