Setting up your webcam in profilux

It is there, just has do be a feed in the mjpg format. Drop ip can up address in web server and dine.

The feed needs to be mjpg format. Anything else won't work. You need that specific format.

This thread inspired me to give it a go.. Thanks
I used a Raspberrypi (& motion program) and an old webcam, works great through profilux, I set the frame rate to 4 second.
I can also get the current data from profilux (ph,orp,temp) into the raspberrypi and then print these onto the streaming image as well. Although not much point when viewing the image through profilux.

Hi all
I have a db power ip web cam I have been running for a while know but want to include it in the Profilux web browser but having a few issues
On the box it says m-JPEG format but if I put the IP address in the webserver settings that I use to view the cam on a web browser it don't work but yet if I put this IP address in the web browser it comes straight up
Have had the cam setup for 2 years maybe and view it all the time externally from the house so the cam is working fine but just can't get it to work on the Profilux webserver
Have the latest firmware and PC software installed on the Profilux
Any help would be great or if no one has the answer can you let me know what brand camera you have thanks

Looking for some help, I've been trying to get this to work with a logitech hd c920 and for the life of me I can't get it to show anything on my profilux 3.1N webserver page.
I've been at it for hours and it's driving me crazy!
I am looking for the basics, just want to see the stream from the camera when I log onto webserver!
Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Can anyone walk me through it.

I have not played with a rasperi pi yet. So I'm not much help there, but I can help with the web cam

It appears the c920 is not a network webcam is that correct

C920 is a USB webcam for connection into a PC, it does not have an ethernet port.

Profilux requires an ip camera to access
I set the c920 up on yaw cam and have forwarded ports on my router. Yawcam gives me 2 different stream addresses
1 for behind router and one for people to view when I'm online.
If I put the stream http://192.168.1.6:8081 into my phones browser it brings up what you had, enter password etc then I see my camera.
This is the address for behind router
When I do the same puting that address in the profilux webserver area I get nothing when I log on

Ah man this is driving me nuts, anyone any ideas?
I can see the camera that's connected via usb to my laptop.
I can then see it on my iphone when I put the above address into my iphone browser, it asks me for my password and login and it then pops up on my phone.
The profilux cannot bring it up
