I am having a hard time dialing in the Ca reactor on my 300 gallon tank to maintain the Alk and Ca levels that i want. i want to keep my Ca level between 425-450 and my ALk between 7.0-7.2 I have a dual chamber Ca reactor set at 1 co2 bubble every 2 seconds and a drip of effluent every 3 seconds. What settings do you other guys who have large tanks keep your " drops and bubbles" counts at and what are your levels?

thanks

This is like asking how much blood you have go into your food when you press your car's gas pedal going uphill = no real answer!!!

First of:
-What media are you using?
-What is the pH of the effluent?
-What are your tank's parameters now? I ask for alk and Ca.

1 drip every 3 seconds is very low. I would start with the slowest stream you can get.

As the dgasmd suggested, can you measure or monitor the PH of the effluent?
