Setup of 120 gallon sps system

Alot of detail there, pretty sweet. Have to ask though, with that tub sitting up on a platform like that, if it's in the room behind the tank, how is your tank going to drain to it? I have my sump in the room behind my 120 and it has to pretty much sit right on the floor to be low enough for my drain plumbing to go into it, and it's not as tall as one of those tubs. I guess it just seems to me that the top of that tub would be as high as, or higher than, the bottom of your tank, so I was wondering how your drains were going to be run?

Would really like a couple of those reflectors over my 120 - along with a really nice canopy like that to put them in.

Shooter, my tank is drilled in the back, not the bottom. So the overflow drain is well above the top of the tub. In this picture you can see a drywall seam. My overflow and closed loop drains actually go right through that seam.

I wanted to get the tub off the ground to make it easier to drain when necessary.

ooooh, I gotcha. Definitely agree with getting it up off the floor. Like I said, mine's on the floor and yeah, it's a pain sometimes with getting stuff drained out of it being that low, can't just siphon and have to use a pump. I knew there had to be a reason. :D

looks good. keep the pics coming, along with any mistakes you might make along with the solution.

good luck, remember nothing good happens fast in a reef tank, take it slow.
