Setup Questions

Ok, interested in a planted tank.
Set-up:
26 gallon bowfront, bare bottom (understand can't have certain types)
4 bulb 24" t5
Probably run an oversized canister filter (not sure yet)

Fish:
Pair of clowns (percs most likely)
Chalk bass
Long nose hawk
Small scorpion (trust me on this one)

Is a canister enough filtration?
Also, the lights. I was thinking two flora bulbs (6700k), a 10000k, and a blue actinic.

Would that be good for BASIC easy to care for algaes.

There is no need for filtration, your macro algae will eat up all the nutrients. It is how they grow. Removing nutrients with a canister filter will harm macro algae because the macro will have little to grow off of (besides lighting).

Cool, do the lights sound ok

Curious why your looking to go bare bottom.

Sand helps store the nutrients that the macro will be feeding off of.

Also helps balance ph that may become an issue with running a tank full of macro

Main reason is I've had sand beds in the past and they just get nasty with no sifters
