Thanks, sick tank!

Yeah, thats such an awesome size. I swear my next tank upgrade will be no shorter than 7'x3'x20" would be perfect, and its less than 250g =\

Hey Digital- I'm curios about your pipes in the overflow. Is it "Drain, Return, and Safety Drain" from left to right?

Kc3

Yup.. that's correct.. :)

Great thread! :)

Updated FTS. Didn't get the whole tank (63" x 44" x 14" ) on the picture, because my tripod is touching my desk. I will rebuild my room soon (dismantle a wall) Then I will be able to make some REAL FTS shots :)

I actually made the tank myself. I just bought pre-cut glass and had a couple holes drilled for the overflow. Glass tanks are pretty simple to build. I had no previous tank building experience. I think it was $300-$400 for the glass, but the holes where $70 of that cost. It can probably be built for less since I didn't shop around much for the glass and just went with a place that was close to my home.

I am setting up a 48x30x17.5(97g) right now. It is my first shallow tank, and I absolutely love the dimensions:)

The tank will be a gigantea species tank.......

Please create a build thread, we'll be setting up a 48x30x18 at the end of February and I'd love to see what you do with yours!!! We'll also have 2 MP40's. :D

Hm i got a quote on those dimensions out of 3/4" and it was $700.00 just for the glass with no holes. I guess ill just stick to my mini shallow (48x18x12") and stop rushing into a big tank. haha

3/4 inch would be more expensive for sure. My tank is only 1/4 inch glass eurobraced.
