Shallow reef tank Club

Just saw this thread and looks like can be a member!!

My tank is 48"x24"x12". Been running a bit over a year.

Here are some pics from about a month ago, a few things have been moved around, but you get the idea. I get a lot of 'I dont believe it is 12" deep', so, please note the Nanostreams in the pics for a size comparison.

Couldnt find a FTS of the same time period, so this FTS is about 2 months old.....

I want to join. I have had mine setup for awhile. It is 48x24x14.5 actually 11.5 deep the water level. It was built of 3/4acrylic and embraced. The tank holds around 53 gal and the sump hold like 30.

Lights: two 250 14,000k phoenix in lumen bright pendants.

Skimmer Euro reef rs 135

Mag 5 return and mix of the tunze nanos and one koralia for flow.

O yea bare bottom.

It is basically a frag and holding tank for my collection of sps favia and few acan.

here is a thought, 18"tall with a 16 inch waterline and a 2 inch wave from a vortech or a tunze wavebox

Haha yeah... i was debating grabbing a vortech when the new mp20w's are available. I think they're supposed to be like $295 i think? I'm seriously considering it! That is one hell of a rabbitfish by the way, beautiful!!!

shallow and rimless are not the same rimless is without bracing shallow is just the opposite of deep.

most of our tanks are custom built due to the unusual dimensions.
