Hey guys I redid my 92 gallon and was wondering if I could keep a coral cat shark in there his whole life the tank is 5 feet long at it's longest poin (it's a corner and 2 feet wide if not could I keep one in a 125 or a 150

No way to small. The shark has no swimming room with the rock. I'd say get a pond for any shark

Oh and the rocks in the sump or will be I have a way of designing it so it will allow him to swim

I would fo a 8ft pond or at the min a 180 but the 180 still might be to small.

I just got a 2ft grey bamboo and it's already too big for my 240 8x2x2. When these guys say it's to small of a tank they know what they are talking about. Wish I would have listened myself.

Agreed. I used to have a gray bamboo that I got small and sold to a bigger tank when it got to 18 inches or so. I had a 210.

I would say 30 plus square feet of footprint for swimming. They don't spend any time off the bottom, so shallow tank with lots of footprint. Most of us don't have that kind of space and your tank is no where close to enough.

A full grown catshark you are speaking of would hardly be able to turn around in your tank. Sound like enough space?

Lfs are a business at the end of the day. I don't want judge all of them but often times they will say what they can to make the sale.
