shark tank

I know this sounds stupid... but do you swim with your sharks? I mean at 25k, there is alot of space. Also post pics!

Some cool ideas. I like look down tanks, they also provide lots of space for much much cheaper then a standard tank. More pictures please.

great respones,

mrk1260, thats exactly what i was looking at, but a smaller version either 6x2ft or 8x2ft. thinking of either an epaulette shark or rays, maybe one of each :) (the wife really wants one of these set-ups in the basement)

mattiej- all i can say is WOW. thats freakin awesome.

thanks

6' x 2' might be able to keep a Coral Catshark, but definitely not an Epaulette. Shoot for the 8' x 2', but if you can, go for around 8x3 or 8x4 if you can.

saltwaterguy--we are still talking about 6ft diameter round by 2 ft deep right. (not a rectangle) i just want to be on the right path for the future. thank you

so a 6ft diameter round would work for the epaulette?
what about adding a ray? (california, yellow dot or something)

this is something thats not going to happen this year, so theres plenty of time to plan :)

Yeah - a 6' diameter pond may work for a small rays - such as the Cortez Stingray, or small sharks (30 inches or less) such as Gray Bamboo, or Coral Catsharks.

For White-spotted Bamboos, Epaulettes, or larger stingrays - I would suggest a 8' Diameter pond or bigger.
