ok...dumb question for ya'll. I think it would be fun to have a shark tank. Would a 150-200 be large enough for the smaller types? I know there dirty buggers, so anyway. And, could I have fish and some LPS, ricordia, acan stuff like that?

I'm no expert but I'd say that 200g may be big enough. Has to be at least 6ft for a bamboo shark but I think the general public on here will say 'better to leave them in the ocean.' Bamboo sharks are kind of boring anyway based on my experiences.

To be fair to the shark I would say 72 L x 36 W x 18H. That is just my opinion on a tank for a small shark(bamboo) to feel comfortable in.

i had started building shark tanks about 6-8 months ago i started with a baby black banded shark. i had it since it was in a egg it hatched in my tank and lived there for several months after it got to big for the 55 it was in i had shifted it to a 200 gallon it lived in there happily for some time till it got to big a shark over 2 feet really needs A LOT of room to swim 500 and up would be a happy environment for a mid aged shark as far as keeping other fishes you can as long as u bring the shark up on frozen foods and you have to keep it well feed or the lil fishes will be dinner one night. and bamboo sharks are really boring mine would hide in the rocks during the day because it is a nocturnal animal if you are looking into buying a shark and putting real time and money in it look to buy a black tip reef shark much more active and look more like the norm shark
