shark took BIG chunk out of my cortez ray HELP

I have a 26" long banded cat shark that was fighting with my ray for some food. In the process, the shark took a bite, about the size of half a quarter, out of my 5" cortez ray.

After being bit, my ray still ate from my hand almost immediately after the bite, now she's hiding under sand, but she is bleeding. She has been swimming around though, and otherwise seems to be acting normal.

I don't have a 2nd tank to sperate them. Please advise on medication I could use to help treat the bite.

The bite is only on her wing and it doesn't seem to have been far enough in to her stomach area.

I really hope she can recover.

I suggest you keep the ray well fed. Run activated carbon and keep you water as clean as possible. If you have UV turn it on. A wound isn't something that you can really medicate until(if) there is an infection. Hopefully the fish continue to coexist peacefully.

thanks for the response, I'll hook up the UV filter ASAP. also, I'm running Melafix to try and heal the opened wound (expensive to add to 300 gallons) so I have to leave carbon out for a few days. :(
