If it were me, I would frag the monti cap. They have a tendency to overgrow virtually any coral (and they grow like weeds). I have a purple cap that I have to keep fragged from growing over a hydnophora which is a notoriously aggressive coral. Just my thought...Good Luck!

The Acropora looks to be on an easily moved base. I'd move it.

I see the acro encrusting the rock,I believe you would cause less damage by breaking away the monti on the side of the acro.You can train the monti's growth pattern.

Looks to me like the Acro is encrusted, but on a piece of round maricultured rock, that maricultured colonies commonly are sold on.

Move the Acro. The monti looks very healthy where it is. I'll take a frag of it hahaha.
