Shedd aquarium?

We are traveling to Chicago next week and are pondering going to Shedd's. Do they have a good reef tank or is it all plastic like Sea World.
Thanks in advance!

Although I haven't seen it since it's been redone, they do have one really nice reef with a huge clam in it and some gorgeous Ventralis Anthias. They have a lot of super nice fish displays - I would highly recommend it if you haven't been.

Shedd's reefs are all LPS and hardy anemones. Not impressive. But the thing in the back with the dolphins and beluga whales is ok.

I was there about 3 weeks ago (( after not being in there for about 10 years )), overall I have to say I wasn't as impressed as I was hoping to be.

The "downstairs" reef area was pretty nice, but too small for my liking. I am still glad I went, walked around outside a bit too. But, I don't see me going back any time soon.

Did get a few pictures, mainly outside.

That is a nice shot of the Willis Tower!

you could get mobbed out here for talkin that trash! lol

They have a very nice 5k g mixed reef display. Unless something happened to it since I was last there. But you won't see a ton of coral outside this tank. Coral does not bring 'em through the doors like sharks n stuff.
