Shell-less or Bubble-shell Snails?

mjoener

BAMs BAMs... I have a ton
I was at the LFS yesterday...
Oddly enough I found something that I wanted but did not know anything about!
It resembled a Nudi, ALL black, with NO types of color on it except for the bottom, which is the same color, a beige, and shape as a snail, same type of mouth parts as well.
On the top which was ALL black, it covered the bottom like a dome or shroud. All that is protruding out from under that BLACK "cape" are the antennae.
The LFS insisted that it was a "Shell-less" snail. They had 4 of them in their show reef tank, where they keep "Bam-Bam" zoas and montipora and other such expensive corals. I asked if they were "reef safe", and they said that they weren't entirely sure but more then likely. . .
I need to know more!!!
Please help

There are lots of black snails without shells or with reduced or hidden shells. Some are harmless, others aren't. There isn't a good way to tell without being able to ID it, which from the description isn't possible.
