Shipping: has it gone up ??

Hi, over the last few weeks I have been looking at getting a GEO Ca-Reactor.

I think the next day shipping cost was lower about 2 weeks back.

am I confused or did the shipping rates go up in the last 2 weeks??

I thought it was about $150, today it says $222 (or 220 something)

other sites offering the same packages are showing about 140-160 as the cost of shipping.

what gives ?

Hi,

We have not made any shipping changes, but our system is tied into UPS.com, so if there rates change it would effect our website.

Where are you located? Shipping a package AIR is really expensive, it's 2 to 3 boxes minimum to ship. I would go UPS Ground unless you just have to get it super fast, UPS can get there in 1-5 days depending on your location.

FedEx Next Day from a different vendor (but not far from you)
is costing me about $150 shipping for a GEO 618 package that should be about the same as yours so far as wieght and distance.

so it looks like FedEx is about $50-60 less.

I expected it to be about 150 in shipping for next day service, just not 200+

I pay for my "Gotta have it today" I know

FL is 3 days UPS Ground.

The online program might be off a little when it's quoting shipping, but usually it's accurate. If you prefer, we can leave shipping open and then charge you exactly what UPS charges us.

Or if you have your own account and can supply labels, we can use your own labels to ship as well.

Sorry, I should learn to go slower... I have a reactor coming it was stuck in the FedEx Hub in Memphis due to the bad weather.

if I had went slow I could have done ground as you posted and got it by Wed.

Some day I'll learn....

Your competitor for a co2 regulator was $8.95.... You were $10 higher on the regulator and $11.92 on shipping. That was this week. Last week I ordered a Mag 3 pump from the same competitor. IYou were $11.92 and they were $8.95. FYI.

We try and keep a low fair everyday price on all products, instead of the normal lower on the some and higher on others to make it up on the back side.

That is one of the reasons we use accurate shipping. Where ours was 11.92 which was actual shipping, 8.95 would be there flat rate. Now days, you can't ship anything UPS for 8.95.

We are always willing to match the best deal anyone finds out there though. I think overall we should be the most competitive if you look at all the products available.

just a final note: anything I have ordered from your shop has been a good deal for me, I have not had any problems and will be coming back for more stuff as I need stuff.
