Shipping Phyto

Not much information on the web, if I wanted to share a starter culture with someone, would it have to be overnighted to them? I was just going to tightly cap a 1L bottle or two and pack it/them well against damage, but not sure if it would keep for standard mail service. I know DT's needs to be sent overnight, but i assume that is because it is refrigerated.

I would imagine it would settle and smother itself. I would overnight it to be sure!

I would recommend refrigerating (slows metabolism) and shipping via overnight. There's a reason DT's does it that way

I would suggest packing with a cold pack, and writing fragile all over the package, this should ensure it gets tossed around a time or two to stir up the phyto

If the culture was not super dense, settling should not be as big of an issue. It does not take much algae to start a culture.
