Shocking SPS

Any one have any first hand experience with sps corals being shocked by a light going in the sump. Seems that it did not get but a quick jolt b4 the wire on the lamp melted. all SPS have lost most all their color but still get some polyp extension, I am hoping that they will come back but would like to hear it from someone who it has happened to b4. Lots of other things are already looking much better than when it happened and i believe they are going to be fine. The point being most of my tank is SPS and i would like to think that they will all come back as healthy and colorful as they were b4 this happened. Any first hand info will be appreciated.

I think Wayne got his light into his frag tank one time with a lot of sps in there, but it was very brief, and nothing melted on the lights, in fact the light still worked just fine after he cleaned and dried them. But all of his corals were just fine, it may have been less of a jolt than your corals felt.
