Short and sweet, my 24 gallon nano

Big fish, I have heard clicks in my tanks before(not this one though, thank goodness) and you can try to locate the little buggers, but most of the time, they are not to be found, but just heard. You can try traps, but I think it's for th ebigger mantis. As far as pistol shrimp go, they aren't too bad, and you are better off with one loud click, then a repeatitive clicking(mantis).

I found one killer nudi in this tank and it has successfully been caught and removed from th esystem. I have not seen another(yet).

Jack, thank you for the kind words! Yes, I am about at my max for corals now, and it's very satisfying!

Amanda

Ya, I really need to work on my photography skills, especially with all th ecool little inverts I have!

Kayla, I thought copperbands were a no no in a reef????

How is your octopus?

They are a hit-or-miss fish, mainly in regards to clam mantles, feather dusters, and softies (I don't have any in that tank). I got this one from a local who had kept her in his reef with no problems. So far, she's behaved very well--except for the feather dusters, and all of my big ones are in the 46 with the horses.

The octo is great! He's eating frozen silversides now (which reminds me - it's feeding time!), and watching him crawl out of the rocks to grab a piece is rather freaky. He can change from stark white to blood red in a matter of seconds...so cool.

Glad the corals are comming around Amanda!
Tank is looking great.

Kayla, isn't it is risky to keep the octo if he can pollute the tank. I mean one false move on your part can startle him into spittin ink. Seems like an awful big risk to me, but heck... thats what life is all about:)

That's why he has his own tank. ;) Well, minus a monstrous brittle star. Goodnight everyone.

I have taken a few flash shots of the fish and they are just to washed out. These are without flash.

I had one of those. He was an awesome fish - great personality...until he jumped from my tank. :(

(I seem to have bad luck with jumping fish, but then again my tank isn't covered anymore.)

I had read about them being jumpers. Since this one is covered maybe I will be safe. Unless it happens while I am working on the skimmer or something. I will have to watch out for it.
