Short tentacled plate coral issues

Up until 6 days ago when it started getting hot it had tentacles out all the time and ate like a pig. Keep in mind the water temp has not really gone over 80 deg at all its just that this started happening when the heat wave hit. The only change was that we started keeping the windows closed again for the ac while they had been open for a week. The ph has stayed constant at around 8.0,dkh is 9,ca is 440 sal is 1.025. Last I fed it was saturday and it ate a good bit.Is it ok forr this to be happening like this? Here is a pic,the gravel that appears to be on the coral is actually just debris on the glass.

as I do some searching here I see they like low to med flow. I dont know how to gauge what flow its in at the moment but looking back on this it seemed that the tentacles on the incoming side of the flow were more withdrawn then the others on far side. Maybe I answered my own question,Ill try to adjust its location a bit.

It could be flow. Have you checked it at night? Mine really puts it's tentacles out when lights are out. I find that when I mess with the tank and sand around is when it seams to withdrawl it's tentacles. If it's been a few days, it's probably not happy. They can move across the sand too.

I placed some lrg scallop shells around it to cut down on direct flow and checked on it a few times throughout the night with no difference. Its not showing any tentacle at all. No feeding response is shown either when I drop food on it even right at its mouth. Im sort of at a loss, they are supposed to be so simple to keep and I have all the needed parameters. As I do more research on them,I see that mine has never been "happy" as it has never really puffed up and even fully tentacled it never looked as well as the youtube vids or pics I see of them. It did have a good apetite and I wonder if I wasnt feeding it near enough at only 10 or so big mysys a week?

I'm not really sure what else to tell you. I don't feed mine that often either. I tend to feed my corals once a week. Maybe a photo would help here.

Top of the thread. First post I posted a pic. It still looks just like that. It has good color and seems like its inflated a small bit. No signs of bleaching but not feeding response at all even to oyster feast.

Sorry, I just noticed it. It doesn't look bad to me, just no tentacles. Maybe just keep it as it is with the lower flow for a little while and see if it gets better or worse.

it still has nice color and seems alive. My tank has been having some issues withother stonys here of late possibly from phosphate (0.05) . So I'm naturally a bit worried for the plate.
