This little lady is my new addition to my collection. She came from a friend of mine after she decided to tear down her tank.
She seems to love her new home and friends.

Great addition. One of my favorite tanks on RC just got a little better.

WOW, Thank you for that great compliment mrwilson.
I kind of like it myself:D

Wow, your Regal is stunning. Any problems with him picking at corals? I just added one to my mixed reef. No problems so far, keeping my fingers crossed.

Brad,
Very nice fish... Have the same one.. He eats everything like a pig!!

Curious, how does your regal do with Zoos?? Mine like them I believe... I'm scared to drop some in... Earlier this year he chowed down on a nice patch of RED Zombie Eye's Zoos...

Outstanding display!!!!!! That wrasse is one of my favorites and one of my dream fish. Unfortunately as Zem said they are one of the worst shippers, even more so than other Melenarus. Anyone know where to get a one or what i really want is a pair, from a reliable, reputable dealer? Where are found?

Again that display is stunning and you must have a serious skimmer, fuge, or tons of water changes for all that nutrient export. Do you have a link for more info on the display? Tim

Thank you for your nice comments.
flfireman and Darth Simon, My regal was great for 8 months and then I added some aussie acans and that triggered its hunger for those, then he ate my scolymias and now has decided to try out my challis. I;m just lucky I have another tank to keep those corals in. He doesnt bother any of my zoo's or any other coral so far. He is just one of my favorites and I cant get rid of him.

DJ, Thats exactly what I thought, getting an established potters was a true gift. I've tried them twice before and they lasted less then a week.

myerst2, I believe I've got a pretty good water treatment plant.

:)

Your tank looks great. I love all the fish you have. Some day I will work my way up to gigantic tank. Thanks for sharing.

I have 2 gorgeous pieces of Elegance Coral that span 6 inches wide... He is looking at them :(

Gorgeous fish, and a beautiful tank. I adore my Potter's, she's one of my favourite fish. I wish they'd ship these fish with just a little sand so their survival rate wasn't so abysmal; once they're established, these are tough little customers that eat everything.

I have 2 of them also and so far he hasn't noticed them at all.
I also have quite a few ricordia and favias, so far so good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

bradleyj, thanks for showing us what's "under the hood," so to speak. I am a big fan of fish-heavy reef displays like yours. So for nutrient export/nitrate reduction, besides the big deltec skimmer, is that a sulfur denitrator I see? Are you pleased with it? Any macro algae in the sump/fuge, or just some extra live rock in there?

You are welcome and yes that is the Koralin sulfer denitrator. I added it just before xmas last year. My nitrates were a little over 50 and my coral was suffering so I decided to try it and in about 3 weeks it was below 15ppm. My coral has never looked better.
I do have macro in the big section of the sump along with live rock.
I also use ozone and UV along with a rowaphos reactor and all of my top off water is ran thru a kalk reactor.

I also try to change out 30 gallons a week.

Very interesting re: your experience with the sulfur denitrator. That seems to be the consensus from other threads I've read about them. I have a pretty heavily stocked 115 and my nitrates have crept up to near the 40 mark despite wet skimming and bi-weekly water changes. I haven't noticed any negatives from the nitrates in my (hardy, mainly softie) corals yet, though.

Great addition Brad. What a gorgeous fish. I always enjoy seeing your beautiful tank. How many fish are in there? Also, what is your water change regimen? Just curious because you don't appear to have a nutrient problem, even with that large fish population. Thanks.
