Yes. I get about three gallons a day (is part of my water change strategy) Since I get so much wet skimatte the skimmer and cup stays clean.

sweet thats what i thought haha. thanks. yeah the deltec is so nice. i got it when i bought my tank. listen to this....tank, stand, sump, heater, pump, hood, lights..... 200 bucks

true.. yeah i without this site my tank would have 9 tangs and lion. jk. but yeah that was a good deal for the pump. i looked online and one website said they were 500 dollar pumps.

Actually, I use an Urchin, and don't turn off, just lift the cup out, dump, clean, and return to service. It's been no problem.

but do NOT undo an Urchin's cleaning screw when the pump is running! It's a fountain.

Ditto to that, I have an Urchin and just lift the cup, hit the tube w/a brush, hot water, re-install. 2 minutes tops.

Nope. I run a Deltec and a Nautilus on my 90. The Nautilus is only shut off for cleaning/maintenance... which I do when it starts to look bad. The Deltec is shut down for cleaning/maintenance once in a while and is also shut down once a week during my water change. Otherwise... they are running all the time.. even when I remove the collection cup to empty it.
