Calappidae Harlequin Shrimp Jul 11, 2014 #2 It's not a requirement but it helps to keep calcium in check to help their growth.. or shell development.. or something like that anyhow.

SeeCrabRun New member Jul 11, 2014 #3 I don't have a calcium test yet and don't know anything about the chemistry of it yet. Do you know of resources to inform myself of balancing it in a fish only tank?
