Should I be worried?

My Female clown has taken to attacking bristle works and currently has a face full of bristles... she acts fine but its not something im used to seeing

I would start to worry when the fish starts rapid gill movement and starts to hang out and be lazy. I'm sure it happens in nature and just an irritation... never had it happen before, but I wouldn't be worried if it did. Might swell like pop-eye and just be an irritation till it heals after they fall out. I believe they are made out of calcium read that somewhere.

I would just be repeating that must suck to the fish.

I dunno, I wouldn't think so. I think bristle worms are just another food item. My x-mas wrasse attempts to try and wipe my tank out of them daily as does my Maroon clown.

well this is a female maroon so so maybe its normal ... just never seen it before she started it this week

I have seen what looks like bristles on my royal gamma face at times, doesn't seem to affect it, i was wondering what was causing it, maybe it is going after the worms too

just got a Exquisite Fairy Wrasse and it is all over rockwork and sand looking for anything that moves to eat.
