Should I buy 3 Kessil A350w's?

.....for my 72" tank? Currently I have two (4bulb) retrofit kits in my hood. Does anyone want to talk me out of it?

Certainly nice units. Obvious radion competitor. I think 3 of them would easily out preform a single radion even with the the new lens. Kessil has two channel control and radion has 10 color settings I think. 1200 for 3 kessil or 1500 for 2 radion. That would be the argument for me.

Potentially spotlighting but I can't say from personal experience. At that price you should look into Radion, AI, and GHL. These 3 options will cost more upfront but will probably be better lights if you are going to have them for 3+ years. It depends on the color and how much you want to control your lights. The Kessils are a good value-price point, but I don't know if they provide moonlight features and the spectrum the others do. Either way your corals will thank you.

Also how deep is your tank

As far as moonlights, I have some DIY ones incorporated into my hood. Speaking of which, would I be able to incorporate these into my hood or would I have to remove it?

I can tell you that I have been very happy with my A150's so far, I run 2 of them on a 48 inch tank with Softies and LPS. Now admitidly its only been up since july 2nd but I have stuff growing and spreading.

I'm not sure which require you remove your hood. Most LED lights suggest good ventilation so maybe remove the top cover of your hood and leave it open if you have too. There are a lot of good LED choises right now, Maxspect Razor is another one I forgot to mention:

I would go onto the lighting and filtration forum and read all the reviews. The new AI lights and the GHL lights have not been released yet so there will not be reveiws for those.

From everything I've read, people in general are happy with whatever fixture they have purchased meaning I don't see too many "I wish I would have bought the other fixture". If I had the cash I would try out the GHL fixture but they are significanlty more than anything else. I use to have AI Sol white and now have T5 and I wish I had the LEDs again but right now I just cannot afford that much money in lighting a FOWLR. Hopefully I'll be upgrading over the next year (or two if I go with GHL), and hopefully the price will start to come down with incresing technology and competition.

Let us know what you get and how you like them.

I'm pretty much decided on the A350W's. I've been noticing a couple of people selling theirs already, even though they haven't been out that long. I'm wondering what that's all about.

I have 2 radions on my 72. And absolutely love them. But I also have a a150 10k on my 20 gal shallow frag tank that I like.

Huh. Idk. I have a 350 on order for the corner of my half cylinder. Can't beat the compact shape

I am blown away by the growth I have with my AI super blues. Just since the beginning of June, my red planet colony has gone from a maybe nickle to quarter-sized colony to almost 3" with tons of branching up. I can hardly believe it. All of my SPS are going like gang busters. I have had a bit of bleaching, but tonight I dropped my whole schedule intensity 5-10 percent. Hopefully in a couple of weeks, I'll notice a bit of brightening.

BTW - I have three on my 6' 180 gal
