should i buy a small hang on back filter??

have a 120 gallon rated remora skimmer, a HOB 4 gallon fuge.

now i know carbon is very good for polishing water.

should i buy a small say 20-40gal hang on filter and run carbon from it? i ditched my canister due to maintanance PITA.

but these you just remove the tray with filter sponge which contains carbon inside.

its only $10-$20

is this worth it or nah?

I got rid of mine due to the noise.

If your tank is in the living room I'd say no.

i use a phosban reactor (tlf) for my carbon - it is silent and works great

HOB filters suck. try a phosban reactor and you can put carbon in there..

haha no! no fluval! im not into opening it, shuting it off, stopping the siphon, cleaning it and all 2wice a week. thats better for QT tanks or freshwater ones.
