Should I Buy This Elegance?

Unfortunately I do not have a picture but it's pink tipped elegance at my LFS that was imported from Bali. I hear many negative things about the Indonesian elegance but they have had this particular one for nearly two weeks and it is fully opened and shows no sign of tissue damage or recession from what I can see. Would a dying or diseased elegance show signs by now and do you think this is worth the by? It's at a fair price. Thanks in advance for the help.

Two weeks isn't really all that long as these usually have a relatively slow decline. Typically they last 2-6 months so personally I would stay away. My experience with elegance is that they are similar to clams, they look fine until they aren't.

I f you want to try it I would also get the elegance to close up so you can see all around it to make sure there is no tissue recession. Although the indo don't seem to be as hardy as australian. It is not impossible
