Should I feed my new Gig?

I bought a healthy gig off one of my friends. He'd had it for a year, and he bought it from another reefer so it is as healthy as they come in this hobby. Its mouth is shut, is somewhat sticky, and not bleached at all. He is still on the move some looking for his ideal spot.

He said he didn't feed it at all, said he gave it a piece of krill six months ago. We both run t5's and I adjusted my light schedule to be the same amount of hours as his.

I was under the impression that gigs should be fed. I am currently feeding frozen food daily for my anthias. Will this be sufficient(I did see him eat some tonight) or should I give it some krill?

Mine grabs food two or three times a day, when I feed the fish. I also try to feed it directly every day. Sometimes I skip a day or two though. IMHO, they can survive without direct feeding. They just become much stronger and healthier when fed directly. Just MHO.

Mine gets fed daily with the fish. Mine sure seems to like it so I will keep doing it. I don't think its totally necessary, but I think it helps with color and health in this type of anemone.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head :)

I feed my ritteri everyother day silverside pieces ( mine is still small so I am not feeding whole silversides at once) My bubble tips get a piece once a week.
