Should I frag this piece or just let it grow?

I have this acro that is going to within a week be encroaching on another digitata. My question to all you guys is, should I just let them collide or would I be best to snip off the acro and start up another frag colony of it? The acro grows like a week, probably 1/4 to 1/2 inch a week right now.

Some ppl trim others let go, me personally i let mine do whatever, one will overpower the other but unlikley to kill the entire colony...

I trim mine. I don't like the chemical warfare (allelopathy) that comes from allowing them to touch.
