Should I get a HOB refugium, HOB filter, or skimmer for a nano?

I'm going to set up a 15gal nano tank for my girl's parents. Other than the LR and LS as filtration, which other filtration method should I use? Do I really need anything else? This tank would house simple corals. Thanks!

Richard

Fuge all the way.

Weekly water changes will make it a breeze.

LR and LS will help with your biological filtration.

I plan on setting up a 30g filled with blue Xenia. Im going with what I just said above ^

A lfs near my house is selling a HOB fuge with built in skimmer. The skimmer looks well design and I personally woudn't mind getting it if I had a nano. If I get the chance I'll swing out there to take a picture. The thing is priced very cheap, I'd dont rememer exact price but its $60-$80.

The skimmer is a copy of the CPR but its built into the Fuge body. I've bought a copy of the CPR from the same company and was impressed with its performance. It put out more skimmate then my Aqua c remora.

Hi. New here, and lurking till now. I've got one of those, and it works great. I kinda sorta modded it a little...I hooked a small air pump to the skimmer; it seems to be easier to dial in than using the venturi area of the fuge's pump. And one of the adjustment screw blocks came loose from the standoff, but a little WeldOn #16 fixed that issue. I've put a heater in there, as well as caulerpa (right after the skimmer), live rubble and chaeto in the middle, and live sand and five red mangroves (with room for more if I want) at the outflow area. I've ordered a 13" 24W cf for it, and I plan on using a 50/50. This is all attached to my 29G tank.

Sorry...this borders on hijacking the thread, and I truly apologize. Just wanted to add my two cents...I like the fuge.

Are you going to be taking care of the tank or are her parents? I don't know if her parents are gonna wanna have to play with a skimmer. I would keep it simple with a fuge.

That is a nice set up with the skimmer built in. I was thinking of doing that for my nano, but did not have enough room behind my tank where I put it. So I modified the back compartments to be a refugium. I guess I better lower the price of my HOB refugium.
