Hello!
This is my tank:
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=24058023

All is fine... I hope... Now, I have...
1 firefish
2 ocellaris clownfish
1 watchman goby
2 engineer goby (I thought they was something else)
1 six line wrasse

A Clavularia, a Sarcrophyton, an Actinodiscus and some featherdusters and a coco worm.

I was thinking to get the SeaClone 100? or something like that
I see it at the store for $96 they guy at the store say for my 30 gallons tank it should be awesome...

The 6 line wrasse will become very aggressive, If it were me I'd get rid of it. The engineer goby will become very large and are known to destroy parts of the tank if not glued down. It's another I personally wouldn't have. These are my opinion on both. I think it would be better for you to ask here before buying any fish or corals etc. In the long run we will save you money and help you have a healthier and peaceful tank. Unless you want an aggressive tank :D

I am one to believe in skimmers as I think most do. Make sure you pick one that is 2x your water volume. If you don't have a sump yet but plan on getting one buy the skimmer accordingly.

You do appear to have too many fish for your 30 gallon and a HOB filter is not going to be enough.
Your tank is not drilled so a sump is going to be out of the question which does leave you with a HOB skimmer. I've used one, it worked for what it was, I am glad that I now live in the world of sumps.
Yes, a skimmer will help but so will changing your livestock plan (previous post is spot on, especially about that 6 line) and slowing down on adding things to your tank.
Everything in this hobby takes time.
Good luck.

Tank is a bit overstocked

But I highly recommend a skimmer, I've used a reef octopus hang on back for my old 30 gallon and it did a good job

I agree I use a RO DH90 for a fully stocked 38 G reef tank. Once you have it running you will see why it is so important.

I'm pretty sure they do make HOB overflows, so I would think a sump is very possible. I also have a HOB skimmer the Bakpak 2 that does a fine job for me. 40b with 20g sump. I got the HOB skimmer to allow more room in the sump. Adding the sump will allow for better filtration if the OP adds more LR to the DT and adds a sump with more LR then there is more biological filtration and you can keep more fish in that regard. But over crowding usually leads to aggression. Then adding a sump and a skimmer creates a cleaner environment and you can get rid of that nasty canister filter :hammer:

Your tank in my opinion should be fine (stock # wise) As long as thats it. The 6 line will be aggressive like they've said. Engineer will be good for the current tank but they'll need a bigger tank later on. A skimmer will work wonders for you, theres great HOB skimmers, I'm sure that your LFS will have a few; if not theres online.
