Should I put this in my tank?

Just bought a few pounds of live rock that was taken from a tank.
Put them through Revive to minimize the risk of improving uninvited guests.
While inspecting them saw a good amount of what seem to be green bubbles or eggs. No idea of whether this is something I want in my tank or not.

It's bubble algae. I personally have never had it get outof control but if you can remove it before putting the rock in your tank you might as well. Just make sure you rinse the rock with saltwater after removal to help ensure you get all the spores incase any pop.

Thanks! I decided just not to use that rock. Managed to accomplish what I needed without it.

If you put other rocks from the same place into your tank keep a close eye on them. If you do happen to see more BA, take out the rock, scrape it off and the pour a little hydrogen peroxide on the spots. That will kill any remaining.

I have heard that emerald crabs like bubble algae. It looks ok if it doesn't get out of control. Just my opinion.

Thanks bill, will keep an eye on them.

Had an emerald crab but passed away a few weeks ago. Will have in mind.

Thanks!
