Should I seed tank with copepods?

Hello,
I set up my tank a few months ago and things are progressing nicely. I'm wondering if there's a need to "seed" the tank with these? I know its too early now, but may want a Mandarin at some point after the tank is long established. Curious if this would be helpful? Or possibly harmful?

sure you can seed the tank, its cant hurt. worse thing it will do is waste your money on buying the bottle. just dont seed more than one bottle, its overkill

It can't harm anything, do you already have pods? Do you have a refugium? If you want a mandarin you will need one. Also make sure you don't get any other fish that will compete for pods. I added a mandarin to a 75g with a refugium in the sump and he/she starved even though I had a lot of pods when I got it. They are a beautiful fish and I would love to have one. But after killing my first one I don't have the heart to ever try again. IMO a fish that is better left in the wild or in a tank that is designed for them.

i think your tank might still be too early to even seed it, IMO.

I guess I should've probably hedged the mandarin comment. I don't have any set plans on getting one. Just wanted to know if seeding now would be helpful in the event I ever want to down the road.

as for pods, I think I may have some. Not sure though. The water and rock from my well established nano was added to this tank when I set it up.

You can see them better at night time, if you shine lights around the rocks or rubbles sometimes you can see new hatches swimming around atleast thats how i look to see if i have any. I gave a pair in my 110g, going for almost 2yesrs now.
