Should I take my Phoban reactor offline?

I'm about to start dosing MB7/Biofuel. Should I take my Phosban reactor offline now or wait 2 weeks?

I dose a carbon source, I still run a little GFO as well as carbon 24/7. I feel it can't hurt. Maybe change your media and use less than normal.

I do the same as 29reef. I started dosing vodka a couple months ago due to an algae problem that I could not get on top of with just GFO and water changes. I read somewhere about taking the reactor off line when dosing a carbon source, but it was more or less a suggestion. Not really mandatory from what I understood. I have left mine running, and my tank looks amazing compared to a few months ago. Maybe one of the more seasoned SPSers might chime in on this one.

You don't need to take the reactor offline. Maybe try it off for a month and if it doesn't seem to make a difference than leave it off. Keep in mind that vodka does not help much with PO4 so a little GFO won't hurt.
