I bought a condy over a year ago that was pure white (I didn't know any better, I thought it was beautiful) brought it home and my maroon clown hosted it immediately. Well, the anemone colored up a tiny bit, but it is an off white now, maybe slightly tanish, but it as healthy as can be. I feed all of my anemones weekly, and ones that you are nursing back to health need to be feed, IMO, everyother day with some mysis shrimp then graduate up to chopped up shrimp or chopped up fish chunks. Lots of people use krill, which is great to graduate up to, and silversides (but they seem large to me) Anyway, my Condy is huge and beautiful, eats everything I give it and the maroon clown does not leave it for anything except to eat. I say go for it, unless the fish store makes a habit of purchasing animals that it does not know how to care for, those shops are incuraged to purchase more when they sell them.
