Should I unplug it?

So my bulb popped and it's going to be until late next week when the new one gets here. I have an 11 month used 14K hamilton that i plugged in but I'm wondering if that will promote algae growth instead of holding off the corals until the bulb gets here? Would I be better off unplugging it?

Cool. I ordered it on Monday and it didn't go out until Thursday from North Carolina, I think. Should be here sometime next week.

You would think. Its just a 250w 14K EVC. I have only found a couple vendors who have it.
