Should I wait? Adding Potters and Tang

HI I have a Blue line surgeon fish thats finishing his qt period. And now have a Potters angel in the other qt. Problem is hes got 4+ weeks. I have a feeling the Blue line will be boss hog of the 90g by then. Blue line is only in a 5 gal. Shoud I wait?

When you say blue line surgeon, is that a Clown Tang going into a 90?

Hopefully not..If so i would look into finding him a new home or a new 300g tank As for the question YES he will be the boss and may beat on the potters. In time there WILL be issues. I have had a clown tang for almost 3 years now and he is a force to be recconed with lol.

I don't think he's a clown tang. But yes he will get huge. And yes I have a exit plan for him. So I think I'm going to wait and introduce both at the same time.

Lol...No.. I've been advised that would not be the right move. It's not so much an exit plan but a well calculated move for the fish.

You don't think? What is it then? If it's getting huge, why is it going into a 90? Can you post a picture so we can ID it?

Only blue line surgonfish im aware of is the clown tang ( acanthurus lineatus ) And yes if you know it gets huge, why is it going into a 90 gallon?

Theres been some discussion to what he really is. Its hard to get pics of him. But this gives you an idea.

Thats actule size right now 1.5 or so. The Potters is just a touch longer. But not at all as powerful. Im pretty sure putting in at the same time is best?

Pretty sure nobody is saying that. What's been said so far is either find out what that Tang actually is or don't put him in a 90. I think there's a chance that's a Thompson Tang, but hard to tell from the picture. None of the Tangs we've named so far are anywhere near small enough for a 90. If you're not taking our advice already, why are you asking whether you should put them in at the same time?

Well if long term well being of the fish isnt taken into account......

sure add them at the same time, it will lessen any aggression due to neither having any territory.
