just picked up super nice g smithii on Thursday, they only had him in for a day. Now its Saturday and he hasn't eaten, ive got small hermits and nassurus snails with him, ive tryed frozen mysis and brine shrimp. Or am i rushing him to much or is it normal for them not to eat for the first bit

Even if the G. smithii is healthy and in good shape, it could take a couple of weeks for the animal to settle in and start eating. Don't try to feed it more that every couple of days and remove the food if it doesn't eat. This species can go for weeks without eating and should it be approaching a molt, that will certainly be the case.

yeah hes in awsome shape, i just herd they should be eating 3 hermits a week on average, and mine wont even look at the hermits

when i try feeding him frozen food he will grab it and then throw it away, ive tried three different types of frozen food, not that it matters because i hear they will eat anything

It can take a while for them to start eating. just keep offering a food consistently. I wouldn't start worrying unless he hasn't eaten for at least 3 weeks.

just out of curiosity what size of hermits and snails can my 2-3" smithii take on? i have nassurus snails and just ugly hermits from a pea size to just over the size of a penny , maybe the size of a grape. can he take those on?

also he was smashing at a nassurus snail, after 10 or so wacks he gave up, so he must be hungry but he doesnt even look at the frozen food
