unless you actually angle the pwerhead at your overflow, aiming it up isnt going to help. The best thing to do is position it, or its, and observe the flow in your tank for five or ten minutes. This way you will be able to actually see what is happening with the stuff you wanna get ridof inside your tank. Patience is key as always. The idea isnt to get to flow to the surface, but tto keep from settling on the bottom. keep it suspended and it will eventually make its way home.
