What kind of Tang is that in the top right?

Would a Vlamingi in a home aquarium ever end up looking like those in your pictures?

Thanks.

I figured this might be a good place to post this question..
My Yellow Tang has a pinched belly.. What is the cause of this? It eats very well and is not being harassed or stressed by any other fish.

If your not already, try feeding sheets of nori. My yellow tang used to have sunken belly until I started feeding nori to my tank.

Get him some meat. Veggies are needed, but some mysis will fatten him up. Also, it is possible that you are not feeding him enough. They need to eat a lot more than most people think.

I am feeding green nori and mysis cubes.. Maybe I need to feed more. I have been feeding lighter in favor of keeping nitrates down..

the vlamingiis will definaely change to that coloring in the home aquarium ive seen quite a few. they dont change till 7 or so inches i dont think. As far as the yellow tang feed more of meat and greens i used to feed my tank what i thought was alot then i saw some tangs getting thinner and fed like twice as much and it got much better. just make sure you have good filtration with tangs big skimmers is a must

Interesting, another one! I just got one of these, and I can find NO info about it. Got any? :D

Thanks! It was sold to us as a Bristletooth Tomini Tang. It's a close relative of the Kole Yellow Eye.
