Mine getting started back up after a pump failure tripped a breaker and it went 2 days without power while I was out of town. Only 2 hermits and my candy striped Pistol shrimp survived.
I lost 2 tongan nassarius, 2 redlegs, 2 astrias, Randals shrimp goby, cleaner shrimp, green clown gobie and, a citron clown gobie along with 12 zoo and 10 SPS frags. Unfortunatly my camera was out for repair for awhile and didn't get any pics of it while it was stocked.

Those are LED's. I built the fixture with 2 whites and 2 blues in each can.
And they work for your corals?!
How long have you been using your new fixture?
Noticed any change it grow or color?
What LEDs did you use? Link?

They have been running a little over a month now. The monicaps have new growth rings. The birdsnest tips are growing. No change on the millipora. From everything i have read this should be more than enough light. I am only running it at 75%. I turned it all the way up and the corals did not like that much light. I had a 150 20k sunpod and this puts out a more focused light. And seems brighter to the eye.
The LED came from LED supply company. Not sure i can post link. Just google them.

Hey Crazyju,

Could you go in a little detail about how you DIY your lights? Budget?

Thanks and I think it turned out great.
