Show me your anthias!

So pretty!

I have a hypselosoma, too - bought it by accident, for some reason i thought it was a female Cooper's anthias  She's small for now - but growing...she like to chase around with the dispars also

Poor little guy - looked like he'd really suffered - it was a while back - no further incidents. I gave the aggressive bicolor anthias away - but I don't know if he was the one that chased him out of the tank :(

I notice my dispars 'yawn' all the time. weird.
Are you boring your fish???!!!! They don't like a lot of longwinded stories - I ought to know ;)

Yay Finally found this post again! How come i can't see more than 2 pages of posts in the "reef fishes" forum?

Change the pulldown menu at the bottom from "last day" to however many days you like....it'll then show you older threads.

You could always just subscribe to this one also.

Can bartletts and lyretails coexist?

I have a 215g with 7 lyretails currently but I really like the look of the bartletts.

1. How big is your tank? 225gal
2. How many anthias do you have in your tank? 2 sunburst, 1 male lyretail 4 female lyretails, 2 barletts, 3 dispars, 2 tiger queen anthias....just got the 3 dispars and 2 tigers today.
3. How much and how often do you feed them? twice a day
4. Their behavior? (swimming habit, where do they hang, etc) hang out everywhere and in caves.

1. How big is your tank? 210 gallons
2. How many anthias do you have in your tank? 4 lyretail anthias; one changing to male
3. How much and how often do you feed them? 2x pellets + 1x frozen
4. Their behavior? (swimming habit, where do they hang, etc) they prefer the left half of the tank. Like to swim around in a shoal (kind of), facing the Tunze flow

going to be adding a few more species. 4 female lyretails. some dispars. some bartletts. a sunburst maybe.

1. 215G

2. 6 Lyretails (one changing to male)

3. Only once a day with PE mysis and nothing else (they won't accept anything else)

4. 5 of them shoal together almost all the time but there is one runt/outcast in the pack that stays on its own. It's very small and thin. I'm beginning to wonder about its survival.

If the runt does die off, will another in the pack take it's place? I mean, will the male start picking on one of the others?

tank size:36x24x30
anthias:2 bimaculatus anthias(1 male 1 female)
feeding:5-6 times pellets per day 2 times frozen
