From my first initial contact with glasscages.com I can't recommend them enough. Here's hoping the tank is up to par!
Speaking of which ( :-D ) I just spent $525 for a 30x30x24 starphire cube with five holes and overflow. It's going to have a 250 watt MH over it and four 75 watt VHO's. :-D

Does anyone own one of the AquaMedic Chromis cubes. It's a complete set with a 150 Watt Halide, tank, stand and a Bioflotor skimmer I don't much like? They're 600 UK quid which is pretty cheap for a full hardware set.
I've seen them in shops but don't how good they are.

It is a GlassCages tank - 65w. I built "in tank overflows" that draw water in through the combs via Seio 820s. All the other equipment hides nicely behind the overflows as well. Lighting is 2 250w Hamilton 14k DEs in ROIII pendants. The starboard bottom is kind of fun, but needs time to grow coralline and some day, a bed of zooanthids or star polyps.

you may be wondering about the rockstructure. It is supported by half inch pvc with all the rocks drilled. I will have corals branching off the sides. Obviously i will have thin branching varieties like stags near the top to consume the least amount of light. I will also stagger the corals on different height levels so they won't block each other out. I also will be adding a small mound in the open space to the left where you can see a monti cap. I will post more pics later. any comments would be great.

Very unique rock structure. I like the openness of it, but have a couple of questions:
Are you planning on having a lot or fish in the tank, (Cause you've got lots of swim room), or did you you REALLY want to move away from the Wall 'o Rock look?
If you plan on having a relatively high fish load in the tank, do you have more rock in the sump or how else are you planning on handling the bio load?
What kind of flow are you planning on?
In any event its definately different and IMO, looks good.

maxx, my current fish plan is 5 chalk bass, a leopard wrasse and a copperband juvie, if he gets to big i'll remove him, but i've never seen a big copperband. I currently have the mag9.5 pushing about 700 gallons per hour, my drain is 1.5". I also have two maxijets, which will be replaced by a tunze around christmas time. I didn't want the wall of rock look at all, i also am planning on adding about another 10-15 pounds on the left side ot make a secondary mound, this would give me about 40 pounds of liverock, and i am overskimming as well. it will be an experiment.
