pro2625, I'm setting up a 60 cube soon also. It will be an SPS tank. I will have two tunze 6060's for flow and a Quiet One 4000 for a return. I have a 250 watt halide for lighting and a ETSS 800 for a skimmer.

Can you give more info on your tank? Or post some pics?

Lunchbucket - what temp are your 400's over the 58. I ran a single 400w 10K for a while and thought it was WAY TOO MUCH light for my 50 cube. That is just an opinion really. I did feel that I was burning a few corals but that could just be from not properly acclimating them to the new light. Anyway....I'm running a single 250 14K now with 150w of 03 VHOs. I really like the result on the 50.

pro2625 - I have 5 powerheads in my 50 (24x24x22) all rated at about 300 to 400 gph. 2 are behind the rocks. I also have about 500 gph coming from the return. I wish I could fit at least one more large powerhead in my tank facing the rockwork. I also have a wave timer on the PHs. I think hammerhead has a good flow set up starting out. I would maybe add 2 or three outlets of flow behind the rocks (via powerheads, CL, or some other pump).

hammerhead - Is the OM on a closed loop or on your return? Did you ever think about plumbing a CL through the bottom of the tank? Also, what equipment are you planning on stuffing in that cabinet? Are you going to have any equipment (top off, skimmer, etc.) outside the cabinet or in another room? If you look at my gallery, I have crap all over the place. I couldn't fit a third of it under my tank.

Great thread. :D

Oh yeah, any in-wall cubes out there?

Yes theres a sump in the stand for my 8-2 and my Geo calcium reactor. The OM is from my return Im not doing a closed loop I dont think I will need it. My stand is 32x32x36.

well i have a 20k 400w and a 10k 400w and i do not feel that this is too much light. they just need to be acclimated correctly. i could get by easy w/ 2x250w MH's. will i switch to those?? probably not.

nice shot of the planted tank - is that an oceanic cube?

What did you have over the small cube - a 13-watt PC :D The sun called - it wants it's light back
Thanks it has a 70W MH and 2- 9W pc's. The tank is a ocean view out of mississippi.

Here is my cube...what seio's should I add for more flow? 620's 820's?

pro2625, That is a beautiful set-up. What are the dimentions of the tank?
He got 'moved on' for some reason but his gallery links shows a photo of a 60G cube.

My tank is a perfect 24*24*24 cube.

Im looking for some more flow...I know I want seios but which ones should I get?

I would think that the 650's would probably be adequate and 850's would be the largest recommended from other threads I've been browsing (you can adjust the flow by narrowing the inlet slots - but being that they're only about 1/4" to start with - this isn't the easiest thing to do)

A single 850 may even blow your sandbed around a little, depending on how/where you intend mounting them.

The controller (if/when one is available) would be a good combo w/ the 850's for your tank

If you remove the sandbed you could probably do 1100's :D
