the lighting looks wierd. i probably would have interspersed the actinics in so it doesn't look so different. but the pic could be givign a wierd view also

Lunchbucket

it is very dramatic in the pic,in person the effect is more subtle.in person this thing looks bright at the top and gradually gets darker as you move down the rock structure.

each flat space will have a specific type of coral. one will be all ricordea another will be zoanthids. leathers will be spaced every where on all levels as will sinularia. scrolling cups and montiporas will be mounted in a way that connects them to the flat rocks.

the ideas are endless.

Where would be a good place online to get a 36x36x24 CUBE? Should I do acrilyc or glass?

THX in advance...

I agree w/ lunchbucket, but I'd have to wait to see what the corals look like in there - it's kinda hard to tell when it's empty - the only downfall is that corals in the actinics will flouresce brightly, while those in the back will look very bright, but not flouresce - but it will be good for sps growth in that area

Oi!

I hope that this works, here is a pix of my cube.

damn guys, take it easy - I guess most tanks have square edges so they're all a little "cubish" ;)

I've always wondered how well those open-bottom skimmers work - it would be a neat addition to the back of my JBJ24 - cool to see one in operation -

Chrismunn- think about getting a few pieces of black plastic to put in one corner and put all of your equipment in there, w/ a little creativity for in/out water movement (HOB filter?) you could hide everything in a black box, and make it much more pleasing to the eye - like the tank though - at least everything in it looks happy.
