i just got a marineland 24x24x25 60g cube and love the look of it, all it has is water in it as of right now cuz im waiting on sand but i have a question and i hope someone will have an awnser. This thing is annoying what is the purpose and how do i make it stop making noise? sounds like its sucking in air thnks

for those who have cube already setup, what is the best way to layout the rocks?

center in the middle of the tank so fish can swim all around?
or
rock against the back wall?

how high would you stack the rocks? half way ? 3/4 of the way up?

I am considering removing the sand (only have about 1/2" right now) because it just keeps getting blown away by the closed loop.

I have my rock in the middle and almost to the top of the water. I like watching the fish swim around and through it all. Whatever looks best to you is the way to go though...
