Show me Your Fancy STANDS!!!

Not my stand but IMO one of the most beautiful stands ever built. Simple, but just beautiful.

This is gorgeous!
I'm doing a FW planted in my bedroom that I plan to do a similar build pretty soon, but I'll make it different enough to be mine and not a total copy.
Great post, saw this image somewhere but w/out the build link.

Taking good note of all this renforce the center.

Here is an updated picture.

Seems like a lot of extra work for the support in the center. Your weight is on the outer most corners of the stand. The inconvenience of working around those center braces over your sump just doesn't seem worth it. It is very nice looking though.

These are some beautiful stands. I have a question...what is the best way to cut out the door opening in plywood and keep it square?

Well if you are REALLY good and familiar w/ your skil/circular saw you can clamp a guide/straight edge and do what we call dropping in a blade, meaning do not lock the table and ease the blade down and make your cut, finish out the corners w/ a jigsaw.
However, if your panel is not perfectly flat you risk a good chance of binding and getting a kickback.
I would advise having help doing this if you do not use a circular regularly though.

I actually traced the opening on the plywood. Drilled holes in the corners big enough to fit my jigsaw blade and cut it out with my jigsaw. I actually did this directly on the the stand. Just go slow and cut all the lines the same. Do some finishing touches with sand paper. I actually trimmed up my openings so it didn't really matter how square the hole was. Just square of the trim so that it overlaps the opening a small bit. Viola!
