If you're asking about the one I built, it's made from solid cherry. And I used an oil based stain to richen it up alittle bit. Thanks for the compliments guys.

Ops, sorry, I hit the wrong post. I meant to click on yours. Thanks. I like the look of the cherry and the stain color. On my next build, I'll have to do something similar.

Hey guys, there are some amazing stands in this thread! Just wanted to share this one I just finished up for my brother in law. Soon I'll have to work on my own, one of these days.
Very nice...do you have some photos of the build....I was wondering how the tank is supported.

I don't have any pictures on the camera, just my phone...It tank is sitting on top of the 3/4 panels, there is a support in the middle of the stand that goes to the bottom, in the back. The corners are 45'd and biscuited together. I'm really not good at explaining it, and now wish I had some build photos. But it's sturdy as a rock and wouldn't have a problem putting a 65gal. on top of it.

Yea, the tank is on a smaller scale for sure. It's my dream to have a huge ~500 gallon in wall, but this is my first tank, so I wanted to make sure of a few things before I went that route.
I didn't want to jump into the expense of a tank that size right off the bat both from a setup and maintenance perspective. I felt I needed to get my feet (hands?) wet first with a smaller tank, make sure I was successful over the long run and then get my dream tank down the line when I have the space (fishroom) and means to do it the way I really want.
That being said, I'm very happy with my 50 gallons for now
The wood in the office is teak and the floors are raw red oak. The white portions are a low sheen white lacquer. I don't have any really good closeups of grain, but I can get one tonight, here's the best I have for now:

Wow, that's nice. :thumbsup: Ditto on the counter top. I would love to see how you did your canopy. Any pictures with it opened?

I have twins that are approaching two years old. I'll update once the mobile handles are finished. Basically, I'll embed a magnet in the upper middle on the back side of the door. The oak handle will also have a magnet. Basically just like a magnet cleaner, I'll slide the handle across the outside, the magnets will lock up, and I'll pull the door off.ALittleSalty

Here are some shots of the stand I built for my AP24. I still need to finish the front and figure out what I want to do for the door as well as some touch up trim work on the top of it. The inside is big enough that i can eventually get a small sump down there.

Hey guys, I finally got around to building a stand for myself....It's built for my 75gal tank. I made it out of solid curly maple, made the molding, doors, everything. This time I took more pictures of the bracing and what not. Please excuse the unfinished wall behind it
