Out of curiousities sake, I know what deepwater means but general speaking, what type of acros are these ones people are calling "deepwater'? They all seem bottlebrush type...do they require less light then the reef flat/crest type we usually sport? They are pretty but I'd hate to get something that wasn't going to like light as much as the others...

A lot of the deepwater acros appear to be caroliniana, suharsonoi, jaquelinae, simplex, granulosa, etc. Not sure about light requirements but mine do fine at the bottom of my tank.

Ok two things fellow reefers. I have made a screensaver with the bulk of the pictures so far, 41 to be exact. I did not do all the pictures because the file would be to large, so please do not get mad if I didn't use all of your pictures, nothing personal. I did try to use at least one from each person. Now the secound thing. Is there anyone out there that will get mad that I used their pic in a screensaver, if so let me know and I will remove the picture. Well I guess I should have said three things the screensaver is 4.5megs this means I can not post it here so if you would like a copy and your ISP mailhandler will allow a 4.5 meg attachment then give me your Email and I will send in a couple of days. (want to give the people a chance to have their pics removed if they want)

I would have to agree. The polyps on Tommy's are a lot more dense with little space in between each one. The polyps on the LE are spaced much farther apart. The color of the LE's tissue and polyps are both much more intense also. Possibly the same species but doubtfully the same coral.

It is different. Mine can go from a purple base to the now orange base. the lighting has an effect on the color shift. I like mine better. And it looks much happier

I'm gonna see if I can start up the "Leng Sy" cap ordeal all over again.
