Show me your mature icefire echinata

This coral seems (to me, anyways) to be an illusive coral. And generally difficult to keep and grow into a mature colony.
It is one of my favorites.
Do you have a large colony?
I'd love to see it and know the basics of how you keep your system.
Thanks!

Here is mine, I've had it for over 5 years. I run T5's (almost 100% blues) and blue reefbrite LEDs as supplement.

THAT is absolutely astonishing!!!
Thank you for posting.
Amazing!
Could I trouble you for your system details? Or if you have a build thread, could you post a link?
Thanks!

Sorry, I have to post again..
This might be the most beautiful acropora I have ever seen!!
The growth pattern is stunning.
Bravo.

Thank you very much, the complement means a lot! I'm lucky to have it had survive so long without the temptation of mass fragging or tank crash.

The system is fairly simple, 150g display with a 30g sump. I run a Reef Octopus 200 with a BB2000 pump. Flow include a Maxspect Gyre, MP60, and a Tunze 6095.

Lighting is 7 bulb T5. I only run a single white bulb, rest is actinic or blue+. I have two Reefbrite XHO strips that run 10 hours. Full light cycle is about 10 hours.

Well, I highly doubt I'll see many more posts in this thread with as impressive an echinata as yours. You deserve the praise.
Thanks for the details..
Where do you keep n and p and your parameters?
Do you add any coral foods or supplements?

My nitrates are always 0 but my PO4 I see sometimes at .02. I feed a big pinch of spectrum new life pellets twice a day. I feed frozen LRS reef frenzy once a week. I supplement my Alk and Ca with two-part dosing. I sometimes dose Acropower but I don't think it does much, if anything.

I've tried wild pieces of this tons of times without any really good luck ... I have 2 pieces right now that are brown but alive ... They Are a difficult coral for me and also one of my favorites ... Someday I'll win the battle

I had pretty good results with an ice fire under Mitras as well. It was very low in the tank.
I never ran the white led very high..

Very nice! What's PM?
Can you give the rundown on lighting , flow, nutrients and feeding?
Thanks!
Oh.. Purple monster.. Very nice! Another fav of mine

I ran 14k halide and VHO. my piece situated midway in the tank. Flow, random various direction. Nutrients, low but not sterile. Feedings, no extra supplementation.
